Seven times a year, VSAE hosts a complimentary reception and luncheon at a Richmond facility. The luncheons are complimentary as a membership benefit and provide a terrific opportunity to network with your peers or clients. Calendar of Events.

Annual Conference

The Annual Conference is an annual event held in May which consists of educational, recreational and networking programs. Calendar of Events.

Fall Marketplace

The biggest event of the year is VSAE's Fall Marketplace. The Marketplace combines educational opportunities with networking and the opportunity for suppliers to showcase their products and services in a trade show setting. Calendar of Events.

Holiday Event

The December Holiday Luncheon and Silent Auction is one of the most popular events that VSAE offers. Nearly 100 items are available at the auction; the money raised helps improve educational programs and services for VSAE members and a portion of the proceeds benefit a local non-profit organization. MEMBER SERVICES

CAE Study Group

Association executives working to earn the CAE designation study and learn together at VSAE's study sessions. All sessions are facilitated by current certified association executives.

Referral Service

To assist organizations in locating staff members, VSAE maintains a file of potential job candidates. A synopsis of the resume is listed in one issue of the newsletter then the resume is maintained at the VSAE office. This service is complimentary for association executives. Reference Library

The VSAE office offers a lending library for use by members. The library includes publications from ASAE, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and other nonprofit organizations. Click here for the list.

Monthly Seminars

To assist you in developing and enhancing association management skills, VSAE offers seminars and luncheon speakers featuring top-notch speakers on timely topics. For a nominal fee you can hear speakers on topics ranging from membership retention to non-dues fundraising. Other topics have included long-range planning, promoting your association to your members, and hiring/firing techniques. The seminar and luncheon topics are eligible for earning or maintaining the CAE designation.

Fall Marketplace Trade Show

A half-day of educational sessions is scheduled during the Fall Marketplace.
Seminar topics have included lobbying issues, meeting planning and contract law.

PUBLICATIONS

Association Press

The official monthly publication of VSAE, Association Press keeps members up-to-date on regulatory issues, trends, new ideas, meetings and conferences, member achievements and association activities. It provides an advertising opportunity for suppliers of products and services that benefit the association market.

Membership Roster

An important resource tool, the VSAE Membership Roster is updated and distributed yearly. It provides immediate access to the executives of the state's professional and trade associations. Executives use the Buyer's Guide as a reference to association suppliers who provide services and products. Supplier members use the executive listing for information on an association's meeting schedule, location preferences and available dates. The Roster provides an additional advertising opportunity for suppliers of products and services.
